Preparing for your Eye Exam
Prior to your visit to us for your eye exam, there are a few things you can do to help prepare for it. If you already wear glasses or contacts, whether they are prescription or over-the-counter, please bring them along with you. If you have any information or records about your last eye exam, please bring that with you also.
It is best to avoid drinking alcohol before your eye exam. Alcohol will dilate your blood vessels and interfere with a glaucoma screening. If you usually work with a digital screen, i.e., computer, avoid any extended use the day of your eye exam. This can also dilate your eyes.
